Hot tubs are a specialty haul

Hot tubs are heavy, awkward, and full of plumbing and electrical work that has to be handled properly before removal. Most junk haulers either won’t take them or charge double because they’re not equipped for the job.

We take them every week. Drained, cut down, hauled out, recycled.

What’s included

  • Drain the spa (we handle the water disposal in line with local code)
  • Disconnect electrical (240V hard-wired or plug-in)
  • Disconnect gas line if applicable
  • Cut the shell into transportable sections (yes, this is the right way to do it)
  • Remove cabinet, cover, lifter, and surrounding components
  • Haul off the property
  • Recycle the metal frame and components

What we handle

  • Inground spas
  • Above-ground hot tubs (4-person to 8-person)
  • Saltwater hot tubs
  • Swim spas (yes — even the big ones)
  • Wood-fired hot tubs
  • Built-in concrete or tile hot tubs (additional demo work quoted separately)

How it works

1. Send us photos: the tub, where it’s located, and the access path. 2. We give you a flat-rate quote — usually within 24 hours. 3. Schedule the removal — most jobs done in a single half-day visit. 4. Tub is gone, area is clean, you reclaim your patio.

Pricing

Hot tub removal typically ranges $300–$700 depending on:

  • Size of the tub
  • Access (backyard with gate vs. crane-required vs. up a flight of stairs)
  • Electrical disconnect complexity
  • Whether the tub needs to be cut down on-site (almost always)

We give you a flat rate in writing before any work starts.

FAQ

Do I have to drain it first? No — we handle that. But if you can drain it the day before, the job goes a little faster.

Can you remove it without damaging my deck or patio? Yes — we cut the shell down on-site so the pieces fit through gates, doorways, and around landscaping. That’s the difference between a specialty haul and a generic junk crew.

What about the electrical? We disconnect at the spa side. If you want the breaker line removed too, we coordinate with a licensed electrician (often same day).

Will you remove the deck around it? That’s a separate job — but yes, we do small-scale demo. Add it to the quote.

Same-day service? Hot tubs require a 24-hour advance booking minimum because we send a specialty crew. Often we can be there the next day.
